Because we were talking about this guy today, and one of my friends said that he has "no sense of character." What exactly does that mean? I have somewhat of an idea, but I'm not too sure.

  1. It is said of someone of substance that she "has character", meaning qualities of personality such as honesty, integrity, truthfulness, of high moral tone. Somone without a sense of character doesn't even know what the concept means.

  2. The person to ask is always the one who said it.

You can not assume that what he said was either true or properly expressed so why worry about it?

You are not going to allow his opinion to affect your attitude to the person concerned, are you? That is hardly fair.
