What does it mean to have alot of "Cardinal" in my chart?

I have 14 Cardinal signs, 5 Mutable, and 4 Fixed signs in my chart. What does it all mean?

. They charge right in and get the job done (or fall flat on their face, depending on the situation). These are Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. If there is no crisis for them to take care of, they have been known to create one just to have something to do. Please remember that everyone has every sign somewhere in their horoscope. The Cardinal Signs show where in your life you will tend to take action..cardinal signs are aries,cancer,libra and capricorn. the main caracters for aries is action.active,energetic,initiative.for cancer it is instinctive action,logical,tenatious,emotionally sustaining,for libra it is re-action,lovepeace,harmony, for capricorn it isorganised,carefull,calculated,planned etc..if u have more planets in cardinal signs u will b possessing  more of these..similarly mutable/dual/common signs are gemini,virgo,sagittarius and pisces..the fixed signs are taurus,leo,scorpio and aquarius.they to have their share to give u their qualities..these r all theeory and u can find in any book. for total analysis all put together astrologer is required..

14 + 5 + 5 = 23

There are 10 planets... 11 if you add Chiron... and maybe 4 major asteroids... that's 15. Even if you add Rising and Midheaven, that's 17. Where are you getting all these signs?

The houses that carry these signs afre those in which you have the ability to act directly and decisively upon the circumstances. It is the 'here and now' of any situations.

Now, when these are positive you can express constructive initiative but when they are negative, it can be expressed as thoughtless action.

By the way, there are only 10 planets. How did you come to 23 or are you in a different solar system or something?

Hi Charlie

That's a lot of planets in a chart. I work with the 10 planets, Ascendant and Midheaven.

Many Cardinal signs is compared to the "'Rim of a wheel". You make wide contacts, cover much territory, get aroud etc. You are where the action is most eventful, make the biggest turns, are uch noticed and get their first.

Compated to Fixed signs which is like the hub of a wheel, but close to the center; much of the action is going on around them. They are inside, more ntent and less affected by the outside contacts.

Mutable are like the spokes of a wheel and are the 'go between' , making connections, distributing, contacting both the inner and the center.

To come back to the Cardinal signs emphasis, you are active, self-motivated, usually ambitious. You like to generate momentum in any group of people in which you find yourself with. Cardinal signs are restless in nature.

This can be offsetted depending onthe other planets in Fixed and Mutable. Just the fact of having even 1 planet in fixed like the Moon for instance, can change and offset a lot of what your Cardinal signs imply.

If you really have a lot of Cardinal plaents, you will have some fame during your life or will be a noted person inthe sphere in which you move. You are like a pioneer and will always aspire to take the lead in any concern in which you are interested in.
