  1. Open bar probably means, even the highest priced drinks are the same as the lower drinks. Not sure.........

  2. are you sure its not happy hour?

  3. It´s when you don´t have to pay for anything.

  4. not too sure

usually a open bar is for a event in which the person doesn't have to  pay for  the drink

never heard of a bar legally selling alcohol past the 2a deadline

  5. When you're at a party or whatever, and there is open bar, then the drinks are free. But if they charge during "open bar" then maybe it's the free food that you get. I have never heard of an open bar getting charged. Of course, whomever is having the party pays the tab.

  6. open bar were i live means like a wedding reception

means all drinks are paid for

never heard of paying when there is an open bar

you’ve been to a wedding or other large celebratory event, chances are you were able to take advantage of an open bar. An open bar allows all guests to drink freely without having to pay. Guests enjoy being able to drink what they like, while hosts appreciate the convenience and also watching guests enjoy themselves.

The open bar is generally paid for by whoever is hosting the event. The catering company most likely includes the open bar as part of the catering package. If this is the case, guests will have to settle for the hall's choice of liquor brands. Sometimes the hosts will have to pay extra for their guests to enjoy high quality or "top shelf" liquors.

There are pros and cons to an open bar.
