  1. The term "Jailbreaking" is technically modifying the iPod's firmware so as to enable the installation of third party applications. You could do all sorts of stuff after you jailbreak like download Youtube videos, theme your iPod, play GBA/NES games, play the popular game, Quake, all sorts of unimaginable stuff!

Its really pretty good and though some say that it could potentially damage your iPod, I disagree. The only way, in my point of view, that one could "brick" an iPod is by either erasing the BOOT(I think its called) files on the iPod or restoring it to an iPhone firmware. Even when you delete the boot files, a tech pro could help you restore them back and fix your iPod and the same goes for restoring your iPod to a iPhone firmware. Anyone has additional knowledge of this, please email me instead of posting your 2000 word arguement here please!

    Hope this helps!

  2. its sick i did it 2 mine and it adds an application to ur ipod that lets u download any game u want for free (with the exception with a few). BUT...after a little while my ipod started to freeze up so i deleted everything and restored my ipod and it works fine now but u could get like different backrounds and other cool stuff....its pretty sweet

  3. Basically it means that you upload your own firmware to the iPod, which enabled you to (before 2.0) you could add 3rd party apps, but you might also completely destroy your iPods ability to do anything.
