  1. Being a human is about respect and love to other people, helping other people in anyway you possibly can, living a basic simple life, obeying the law, socialising, working hard if possible, keeping tight controls on your finances, loving the enviroment and looking after it, being happy each and every day while spreading that joy, just waking up each morning is special, forgetting your fears, being totaly positive, never taking anything for granted.

  2. TO ME BEING HUMAN MEANS A LOT OF DIFFERENT AVENUES...  I WOULD THINK BEING HUMAN IS A VERY SPECIAL GIFT FROM THE CREATOR ! BEING HUMAN CAN BE A LIFELONG JOURNEY ... WHICH CAN BE EXCITING EVEN THE DARKEST DAYS.  BEING HUMAN IS BEING VULNERABLE. BEING HUMAN EQUALS MATURITY.   IF YOU'RE NOT OBSESSED WITH THIS QUESTION THAN YOU COULD LOSE THAT HUMAN TOUCH OF EMOTIONS...BEING HUMAN IS NOT AN ASSUMED PART OF LIFE BUT AN ACQUIRED BY LOVE  FOR HUMANITY AND THE CREATOR. BEING HUMAN IS A VERY HARD BUT A SPECIAL GIFT THAT SOMEONE CAN OBTAIN WHILST GROWING OLDER. IT CAN BE DIFFICULT BUT FRUITFUL EVENT IN YOUR LIFE TO BE HUMAN.  THANK YOU.

  3. To have the choice of doing right from wrong.

  4. If we define "being human" as being a member of the human species, that would be the same as defining a house as wood and brinks forming four walls and a ceiling.  Technically, it is true, but it doesn't really answer the question.  What we really want to know is the purpose.  The purpose of a house is to provide its occupants with security from the harmful elements of nature, for example.  It just happens to be the case that four walls and a ceiling constructed from wood and bricks is fairly good at serving this purpose.  Knowing the numerous features of the human species (such as possessing opposible thumbs, standing upright, and using logic and morality in decision making) is very helpful in answering this question, but by itself it is not an answer.  These features have made us very adapt at survival, so much so that we have become the dominate species on the planet; however, if perpetuation of the species is a purpose, it is the purpose of the species, not necessarily the members of it.  So what is our purpose?

Since things that do not exist cannot have a purpose, it is safe to say that whatever our individual purpose may be, it must come to us after birth.  Since our purpose can only be realized after we are born, it is highly improbably that it is the same for every person.  Therefore, whatever our purpose is, it is unique to each individual, and it is up to the individual to discover his or her purpose for him or herself.  But I think you already knew this because you made a very good point to find out what individuals believed, not Google.

  5. to just be within the human species.

i think many other animals see themselves centered in the universe, though that being our place is highly unlikely.

we are however a strong, efficient species.

    highly resilient and adaptable

    good at using tools

    surviving in different environments

evolving and developing technologies to help us adapt

working and living as a community and yet being able to temporarily break off for rituals similar to 'hunting', 'feeding', 'mating.' etc.

  6. to be human is to be different from other living creatures. God created humans and breathed His breath of life into them, He didnt do that with animals. He also created humans in His image, having a mind and being responsible for what we do.

  7. To be a member of the human species, which would be a creature that is part of the kingdom of Animalia, the phylum of Chordata, the class of Mammalia, the order of Primates, the family of Hominidae, the Genus of Homo, and the species of H. Sapiens.

  8. Having a conscience
