What does it mean when Hamsters chatter their teeth?

To me it seems like whenever my hamster gets upset she chatters her teeth. For example, if my sister's male hamster gets near her, she'll start chattering her teeth like crazy and then attack him. What do you think it means?

  1. my hamster is doing that right now and i'm a bit worried..any profecinal help?


  2. It means they are angry and want to be left alone or the hamster doesn't want the other hamster around because hamsters usly live alone and should only meet when 4 to 8 weeks old.
