I have a dvd recorder and it says on the box that it has DivX playback. How does it play DivX videos? Do you need to link it to the internet or anything like that? I have only watched DivX videos through Stage6.

  1. I think its for .avi videos, or divx codecs.

  2. Divx is just a type of video format. If you burn a divx video to a CD/DVD then you can watch it on the DVD player. That's all it means.

The benefit of divx is that you can fit more videos on less space because it is a compressed format (similar to MP3 for music)

  3. That means it will play videos you download on stage6
