What does it mean when a guy realize that you know that he likes you so he is trying to ?

He's just trying to act "macho"... young boys often don't know how to deal with their feelings and likely he is feeling nervous and/or scared (although he won't admit it, so I would suggest not even mentioning that as he might just get mad and ignore you more).

If you like him, I would suggest to pull him aside or get him alone. Make sure you are nowhere near anyone else, especially any of his friends, so you don't have to worry about him getting embarrassed. Then just tell him that you like him and leave it at that. If he wants to talk about it, talk about it... otherwise, just tell him as if it's a simple fact like "my folder is blue" and go about the rest of your day.

The tricky thing about boys is that they sometimes do the opposite of what they feel to "save face" in their minds (even though many of those boys may feel stupid when they're older and understand more about their feelings... that's from personal experience). You may not get the response you're looking for, but give your statement time to sink in and don't ask him about it. If he does like you, he'll tell you when he's ready to... some boys take longer than others. Good luck!
