  1. Usually this means a horse is angry and is threatening another horse. When a horse is mad, the whites of its eyes may be visible and the teeth are usually showing. When a horse's ears are back, it can also mean that the horse is concentrating. If you watch horses that are running or competing, their ears will be back

  2. If they look like this: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/160/42933... then the horse is investigating something behind it or ticked. If the ears look like this: http://esc.rutgers.edu/publications/imag... the horse is PISSED and you better leave them alone before they hurt you. Here's a good site on equine behavior: http://esc.rutgers.edu/publications/gene...

  3. taht they are very very angry and agitated if i were u i would stay away

  4. it means that they are either angry or scared

  5. if they are flat against there head that means "get outta my way!!" or "better watch it i'm pissed!"

  6. If your horse's ears are flattened backwards against their head, its usually a sign that they are angry.  If they are just flopped backwards, sometimes they do that if they are listening to you while you are riding them, or they're just being lazy.  My horse has his has one ear flopped out, one back when he's sleeping....but when they're pinned back, watch out, they are probably mad about something!

  7. theyre mad

  8. If they are flat back, they are mad, about what ever. If there just slanted back a little they could be listening to something behind them.

  9. If they are just back, they could be listening to you if you're riding them.  If they are back and you're on the ground, say holding their leadrope, they could be slightly unhappy with you.

IF they are pinned back, FLAT against their head, they are really mad about something and be aware of it.

  10. she's saying, don't mess with me, i'm pissed! if you get in their way you have the potential of getting hurt.
