  1. it is nothing but that plant entirely depends on its roots and if we take the roots and plant it separetly also we can get a new plant "the ability of the root to give another plant when rooted separetely is known as root bound

  3. The plant have roots in all the available soil in the container. Many will begin to die back at this point.some will quit growing and look poorly. some plants you can cut part of the root ball away(some) add some fresh dirt and put  it back in the same pot and watch it perk up. Some plants like trees started in buckets get root bound and it stunts their growth.

  4. This is common in pot plants. The pot is full of roots to the point where there is not room for anything else. When you tap on the pot and it comes out in one big pot shaped ball where all you see is roots. There is no where else for the plants root system to grow.  I hope this makes you understand.

  5. The plant is in too small of a pot for it's roots.  The roots get all tangled together.
