  1. Make sure the drain is not clogged at the bottom, underneath the drawers. If it is clogged water will puddle at the bottom of the fridge. Clean the drain.


  2. your fridge is run by liquid freon, so perhaps something is wrong.  that or your freezer is turned off

  3. If you have a self-defrosting refrigerator\freezer it will occasionally go into the defrost cycle where the refrigerator\freezer wil actually heat up enough to melt frost buildup. When this happens you may hear the water trickling into a pan beneath the fridge\freezer that evaporates due to the heat from the compressor. High humidity areas or a lot of opening\closing the doors can increase the frequency of the defrosting cycle.


  4. It could possibly be trying to rid itself of excess condensate; this can happen when your doors don't seal properly.

    A quick and easy test for this is to close your doors on a dollar bill.  If the dollar can move easily, you have a bad seal.  (Check every inch of each seal.)
