What does it mean when a therapist can't unblock a patient???

My case worker told me that my therapist told him that.

  1. That means you aren't willing to make an effort to change, or be open to change.

    Therapists are only guides. You must put in the work. Otherwise, you're wasting your time and money.


  2. The term "unblock" is misleading. What the therapist is referring to is that the patient has a mental block which needs a different approach as he is at this time unwilling to cooperate with therapy.
