An A/C unit at the store I run is blowing most air out so much it is dripping. What's up?

  1. The drain is stopped up.

  2. If it is a hair salon where the humidity is extremely high then it is only a result of the cold air hitting the warm and (far too) moist air. I have seen that. I have also seen that in laundromats as well.

Or as mentioned those tubes may be plugged and it needs cleaning.

Make sure the filter is clean so it is not running too cold. That can increase that problem.

Run the fan on high, a slower fan setting makes the air coming out colder due to less air.

And last it could be the level has changed a little and it is no longer leaning towards the back, the outside, as it should be.

    Good Luck.

  3. Drain is blocked or the ACunit is not tilted back enough for the condensate to get to the drain.

  4. Most likely the two tray tubes that bring water to the rear tray are blocked...clean.

Water drips in the front tray under the evaporator and goes to the rear condensor tray to drain off or be picked up by the rear fan and blown out to evaporate.
