  1. Could have to do with the type of agent (like the other poster suggested) OR (depending on the context) could mean the type of Union.

    A lot of projects are covered by both AFTRA and SAG- perhaps you have a choice of which union to work under...


  2. It depends on the context of the conversation.  Perhaps s/he is asking if you want a theatrical agent, or one who specializes in commercials and voiceover, or one who does TV and film.
