What does it mean when i can send and receive emails through outlook express but cant get on to the internet?

its my pc at work, its connected to another pc through a router and neither pc can access the net but both can send and receive emails as normal. iv tried all the usual unplugging, repair connection etc and bt are no help either, they claim the connection is working. im not sure the router could be the problem otherwise why would the email still work? any ideas??

Internet explorer may not be configured correctly - look in the connections dialogs.

If email is sending (and not just sitting in the outbox) then it could be down to Internet Explorer settings - check which connection it's using, proxy server settings if you use one.

Otherwise, check with your IT team that the DNS is working correctly.

Or it could just be that the website you're looking for is blocked by your company or ISP web filtering.
