  1. The mark (X) is for people that are unable to write their own name. Two witnesses that can attest that the person making the mark is who he/she is claiming to be.

Sad, but in this day and age, there are still people who cannot sign their own name to a document.

  2. This is used in the case where the person signing the form is illiterate or otherwise unable to read the form.  In this case there must be two witnesses to verify: 1) that the person signed the form and 2) that the person actually agreed to the contents of the form.

  3. if someone cannot write his name, he can put an X.  But if that happens, two witnesses must sign.

  4. It is for people who cannot write their name.

  5. It means that if you can't write(sign your name) an you make a X you must have two witness sign that seen you make the X.

If you can sign (and you can wright) don't worry about it.

  6. If you can't sign your name - make your mark.

Then your mark is witnessed by two people.

  7. That means that the witnesses are acknowledging the fact you have signed the document. signing with an x states you are unable to sign you name.  It also means someone should have read the document to you and you understand what you are x ing
