What does it mean when my camera say "identified image"?

It says that and the picture gets smaller. i end up deleting these pics because you can't do anything with them.I have a canon power shot SD1000. does any one else have this problem?

I don't know what is going on, but why are you deleting them? It sounds to me like you didn't even check them on the computer, only on the camera.

Get yourself a little USB card reader, it is a much better way to transfer photos anyway. Perhaps there is nothing actually wrong with them after all.
