"Local Area Connection A network cable is unplugged" its a wireless laptop that gets a signal from my Linksys router and have not changed a thing, it's not plugged to anything but I still have internet connection. When I go to whatismyip.com I get a different IP than usual.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

  1. This is because the wired connection isn't connected. It's nothing to worry about though. To disable this do the following:

Control Panel => Network Connections => Right Click Local Area Connection => Disable

    That should stop that appearing.

  2. This just means that the laptop does not have a network cable plugged into it. The laptop sees wireless and wired connections as separate. To remove the message, you can disable the local area connection in Network Connections.
