  1. It means what we know now today (ie: what we accept as our 'truths' such as killing is bad, or that gravity exists) does not necessarily mean that we are on the quickest path to finding absolute and certain truth.

So the phrase says that based on what we know now, will still require alot of learning and adding to that in order to find absolute truth. Its saying currently we are still in the steps of building our picture of what is 'certain', but based on what we have now, we can't do that directly. Its going to take more and more dissecting of what really is correct or not before we get to what 'should be'

    hope that didnt confuse you..

    taking Theory of Knowledge, huh?

    cheers
