I would say strong personalities tend to be those people who have a million friends and acquaintances. They usually will tend to be outgoing and loud but sometimes they're just people-magnets.

And person with a soft personality would be someone who is really nice and may be shy or a bit soft-spoken but is really fun once you get to know him/her. I'm guessing a person with a soft personality usually has a nice, close group of friends instead of a large circle of friends and acquaintances.
