What does it mean when someone says they are a chrstian but dont practice it? ?

how can you be a christian and not practice your faith?

I havnt seen a practicing Christian yet. I dont think they need to be practicing because it is their belief that Jesus has paid the price of their wrong doings.

If someone has already recieved punishment for me, why am I to avoid sins?

Christian is a collection noun for people who follow Christ.

You don't need to practice Christianity to follow Christ.

well Jesus did say he is a good Shepperd and he does not lose ONE sheep. If you gave you life to him and fell away you are still saved. You are just waiting for Jesus to come and find you again.

well....it's not for me to judge. if i were not practicing my Christian belief then i would no longer be a Christian.  we are either living for Jesus or living for the devil.

I stop listening to people who say that they are christians.  I look at the life of the person who professes that they are children of God, two different scenario.

A person could've been baptised and raised a Christian but has since ceased to follow it.

because you are born with a religion which is what is carried on from the family but it is up to the person individually if he/ she practices the faith. so people could be bron as a christian, in a christian family but never could have gone to church or read the bible and done the religious stuff. hope this helped!

Although we all are sinners, our lives should be lived by the word of god to the best of our ability. As for some individuals, the weekend christian, their christianity resides only on church services. God will judge these people, and I am not to say what their punishment will be, but I will be judged too, and God knows whats in your heart.

it means that you are a Christian, and believe in Jesus/God but you dont go to church, read the bible etc. Eg I was brought up in a religious family where all my family was Christian. Since moving out of home i dont go to church or anything but i still consider myself christian.

Christainity is not a practice or religion, its the relationship with God the Jesus Christ.

We can say that we are true christian only when we do things which Jesus wants us to do. Being a christian if we do not love my neighbour as my self, torture him, back stab him, kill him, then we are not christian the child of God.

Being a christian is very difficult, because there many things which is worldly which God do not want us to do, but still we do and sin against him, giving him only pain and tears in his eyes.

So people who know who is Jesus but do things which he do not like are name sake christians, and you know if Jesus comes to this world, and asks all the people to line up, so that he can judge them and give entry pass to them to heaven, then seeing those people who are name sake He will testify and promise that He never knew them. This will be their situation which they will face
