What does it mean when the bells ring in parliament?

I noticed that sometimes when I visit the parliament buildings, bells ring and it is not coming from the peace tower.

What is that bell and what does it do?

  1. An angel got it's wings.


  2. Calling Parliament to session, or maybe for a vote.  It's like a school bell calling our politicians to class.
