What does it mean when the leaves on a ficus plant turn up like a taco shell?

  1. It's too dry.  Give the plant more water, you may be able to save those leaves.  


  2. They've gotten crispy just like a hard taco because they've died.

  3. The leaves are dead.

    This could be to poor moisture control. You may want to check the roots on your tree. If they have been over watered the roots will rot, and leaves will die. They can also die for under watering etc...

    There is a product that you can buy at most floral shops or possibly walmart called leaf shine. It is an oil spray that is especially for spraying plants to help keep the moisture in the leaves.
