Question:

What does it mean when there's an open diamond on a note line on a staff, which says "crash" next to it?

Instead of a note, it's in the shape of a diamond, which isn't filled in. And it says "crash".

What should I play?

Thanks

Oh, there is a line that looks like a slur or a tie, but it doesn't lead to another note, just to an empty space on the staff.
