  1. it means that you have chosen the horse piece in your game of monopoly and you landed on the 'go to jail' bit

  2. you claim a horse for.....$12,500 on april 1st.....

if you run this horse before may 1st, you must step

it up in class to $16,000.....

after the 30 days  or may 1st you can race this

horse at whatever level you wish.....

  3. In Monopoly, it means the horse piece is in the jail spot. In chess, it means, the horse or knight piece is captured, and in the rule of the track, it means the horse cannot race for a certain amount of time.

  4. When a horse is claimed, it must be entered into a race that is 25% above it's claiming price if it is raced within 30 days of the claim. This 30 day period is reffered to as being 'In jail'. This particular rule is different from state to state.

  5. He was claimed for a set price, say $32,000.

The horse cannot race in a lower priced race till  30 days is up or the track rules.
