What does it mean when you ares are different types from each other?

Me and my dad have weird ears because we have both one pointy ear alittle sort of long too like a elf sort of on one side and and then a rounded one on the other. except I have it on oppisite sides

It just means that you have different genetic makeup for your ear parts. I think you recieved your ear shapes from your dad, because you and your dad both have similar traits for ears. Nothing to worry about, though (unless you sense or feel something abnormal, then there could be a problem). If you're worried or curious you can ask a doctor or a specialist. I'm sure they're a lot more qualified to answer than me.

Based on biological terms I believe you two are one of the few who might have gotten mutations (the biological definition of "mutation," not those weird ones like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or people turning into flies, Spiderman, etc.).
