What does it mean when you dream about someone consistently?

I had been dating this guy off & on for a little over a year. I hadn't talked to him since July 4th. We didn't part on the best of terms that night. So for like the past 2 weeks, even if he isn't the main character in my dream, he ends up in it somehow. Its kind of frustrating because I'm trying to get past him & it makes it kind of hard when I dream of him nightly. I know this sounds totally corny, but any/all answers are appreciated. Thank you.

Your just still resolving the relationship in your subconscious mind. It takes time to get over someone especially if we cared for that person. Also because you are not finished with him completely you are noticing his presents more than if you were dreaming about someone you didn't or have never cared about.
