What does it mean when you dream you are running, but only way to run is with hands and feet?

My boyfriend had a dream that he was running. However, the only way he could run was to run like a dog. He said if he tried to run like a human , it hurt really bad....

I was running normally from this house, felt like escaping from the house.  It was a group of us, then when i wanted to run faster, i started to use my hands, not to long after that i started flying in my dream, weird.

i have the same dreams of running on all fours im human in my dreams but i cant run like one when i try i cant its like i dont know how. can he see where he is or why his running? in my dreams i see woods but i cant see what im running from all i see when look back is darkness.... anyone know what mine means?
