What does it mean when you have repeating nightmares about the same people?

I've been having horrible dreams about the same people (in my family) for years. What does this mean? Is there anything I can do about this?

It really depends on the content of the dreams.  Nobody is going to be able to fully answer this question without detailed dreams.  What I can tell you is that recurring dreams or themes always hold a message for the dreamer.  Your unconscious mind is trying to get a message across to you and once you understand what it is, the dreams should slow down or stop.
