  1. It usually means that it's infected. The appendix has no known function so you can resume life as normal after it's removed. You can look up "appendectomy" in wikipedia.

  2. It means the appendix, which is near where the large and small intestines meet, and does very little of anything, becomes infected and can burst. The operation is simple, at least medically speaking. You will probably have pain for a few days, but after that no lasting effects except maybe a scar. The appendix just sort of hangs there and has no effect on your digestion or anything. It does have a lot of lymphatic vessels in it which means when it works right, it might be fighting off germs in your intestines, but the loss of it will have very little effect on that.

  3. it means that if you don't have it taken out, it will burst and put toxins into your blood stream.  why didn't you ask the doctor that told you that you needed your out?  here's an article all about appendicitis.

  4. it can happen that your appendix get infected. its a very simple operation, takes about 15 minutes.

the symptoms are pain in your lower right abdomen (between your belly button and right hip bone), nausea, dizziness, fever. it can be pretty painful but the appendix does not have much use in the human body so its no biggie if it gets taken out.

if you want more info, look up "appendicitis" online

    hope this helped :)
