I just got a 2005 Hyundai Accent, I do not think the speakers are blown. However, every time I turn the volume dial it statics. Doesn't matter whether it is a CD or just the radio. It stops soon as it is placed on a song. Its only during the volume turning process, but annoying!!! what gives? anyone experience this or know whats up?

  1. There are bushings inside the volume control k**b that wear out through time. When they begin to wear, that is when static occurs. Sounds like the radio will need to be repaired or replaced. I would just replace it with an aftermarket radio because you will probably spend just as much to have it repaired. There are many types and brands available from $29 on the cheap end and $600+ on the high end.
