What does it mean when your "clotting" while on your period?

some girls mention they have alot of clotting when their on their period...what does it mean? is it something bad?

  1. No it is completely normal. It is just clumps of blood, old and new. Your body is just cleaning itself.


  2. Clotting is when your blood comes out in little clumps . Its normal, i think everyone has it

    The only time you need to worried about them is when they are the size of a nickel or larger... then you need to see a doctor that day.

  6. No it's natural. Clotting is the word we use for blood platelet aggergation. Meaning while your uterine wall is shedding its lining and your bleeding some of that blood is going to clot (become solidified) and will come out as small to medium clumps rather than a steady flow. Nothing to worry about. Everyones body has clotting factors and some are stronger than others.
