What does it mean your sound keeps going out?

My Windows Media Player always fine, but when my PC is on for a while lose sound on the YouTube player and other players (e.g., Vimeo, Vimby, Karma Loopz TV, MTV, etc.)

So... HOW I CAN I FIX THIS S**t?!?! ARGH!!!

  1. When did this start happening? if it was a couple of days ago use system restore, and restore the computer to an earlier time, does the system go into standby before this happens? which windows are you using? update your sound drivers, uninstall and reinstall the sound drivers, are you using a sound card? integrated sound card? which computer do you have? if the system is still under warranty i would recommend you call the manufacturer and have them run a diags on the sound hardware, if it passes then it is a software issue, then format and reinstall everything, if you dont want to format and reinstall, then call up microsoft or some type of software support usually fee based that will be able to help you,,,


  2. get a update for your sound card if you have one and shut off your speakers when your not using them go here there may be a update: http://update.microsoft.com/ (you must use internet explorer and search for updates or if you have vista just go to start and search windows update easy!!
