  1. I am not a doctor but your bone test says that your bones are not as "solid" as they used to be.  Our bones are like giant sponges with little holes in them.  Well, as we get older and have less calcium, the bones start getting more "holes".  This is the density that they refer to.  Your spine is doing well but your hip area is starting to thin out (osteopenia is the step before osteoporosis).  This is what often causes older people to break hips when they fall because the bones are not as strong anymore.    Doctors will often give a once a month pill for osteoporosis to help with bone density loss.

It seems to me that this is a pretty good report for a 75 year old woman!  Keep up the good work!  Again, I am no doctor but I know women in their 60s already on meds for this.

    God bless you!

  2. L 2 to  L 5  are weight bearing lumbar vertebra.Femur also is a weight bearing bone. Osteopenia is nearly equal to Osteoporosis or thin bones. This condition is common in all post menopausal women.

The  results are reasonable for a woman aged 75.

    Doctor may prescribe Calcium supplements
