  1. indian saree cost starting 100rupees,go up to 100000, what is your choice

  2. Its like the Hollywood style for Indians....

  3. Bombay (Present Mumbai) is a big city in India and has many motion studios producing Hindi (Indian ) films. It produces the maximum number of HINDI films and hence it is called BOLLYWOOD as imitation to HOLLYWOOD. We have some other woods in India like Kollywood where lot of local language films are made.

What do you mean by original saree? In India each state has original sarees peculiar to and special to that state and city. We have Benares  and Kanchipuram Silk sarees, cotton sarees from different places having their special designs and then there are machine made sarees from big companies like Vimal, Khatau etc. There is no Bollywood saree. Probably some actress must have used a similar saree or even an actress may be selling her worn saree in ebay.

  4. bollywood is the name for Bombay film industry. its derived from bombay and hollywood.

Sarees have nothing to do with Bollywood!! Its a traditional Indian dress. So, you find in many bollywood movies. A saree can cost anywhere from a few Euros to a few thousand euros, depending upon the brand and quality. Just like how a shirt would cost you!!

  5. go to http://www.cbazaar.com/Clothing/

they have a good collection of sarees...

  6. Bollywood (Hindi: बॉलीवूड, Urdu: بالی وڈ) is the informal term popularly used for the Mumbai-based Hindi-language film industry in India. The term is often incorrectly used to refer to the whole of Indian cinema; it is only a part of the Indian film industry.[1] Bollywood is the largest film producer in India and one of the largest in the world.[2][3][4]

The name is a portmanteau of Bombay (the former name for Mumbai) and Hollywood, the center of the American film industry. However, unlike Hollywood, Bollywood does not exist as a real physical place. Though some deplore the name, arguing that it makes the industry look like a poor cousin to Hollywood, it seems likely to persist and now has its own entry in the Oxford English Dictionary.

Bollywood is commonly referred to as Hindi cinema, even though "Hindustani", understood as the colloquial base common to both Hindi and Urdu, might be more accurate. There has been a growing presence of Indian English in dialogue and songs as well. It is not uncommon to see films that feature dialogue with English words and phrases, even whole sentences. There is a growing number of films made entirely in English.

  7. Simply INDIAN CINEMA

  8. [B]ombay + H[ollywood]

Shouldn't it be Mollywood now that it's called Mumbai?

  9. Hi,

Bollywood is another name of Indian Film Industry as it is mainly established in Mumbai (Former name Bombay). So Bombay+Hollywood=Bollywood.

Also there is no type of Sarees known as Bollywood...Please be careful before buying any..

Its nice to know that you are interested in Indian dresses. You can opt for cotton also.

  10. Bollywood is the Indian Hindi Movie Industry. Bollywood sari's are very film-based. Get South indian saris instead. They are more "indian"

It’s also cheaper than buying it every month and you don’t have to get out of your house to get a copy. So check this link out. I got it for myself. Offer valid for a short while.

  11. Bollywood isn't a place. It's slang for the entire motion picture industry of India.

  12. what do you mean by original??? Saree is Saree..there is no such thing as an original saree unless you mean designer sarees, which means that there is only limited sarees of that pattern. you can buy saree from any shop that sells indian clothes but since you leave in italy and i dont know if there are any indian clothe shops there then the internet is the best place to buy it from..you should be able to find many on ebay..sarees can cost anything from about $20 to some where in the hundreds...it all depends on the style, pattern and how much designs there is on the saree.

when it says 'bollywood' on ebay, it probably just means it indian style!!

    hope that helps
