What does it take for a car to be considered a sports car by an insurance company?

i would think that if the engine size is bigger than a 3.0l and it is not a 4x4, or the engine is in a car but is a 'v' engine (i.e v6, v8, etc)

and the car can go faster than 140mph without forcing the car to fit the speed (flooring it to get the speed even if the car cannot handle it)
