What does it take to be a Crime Scene Investigator?

Im considering getting a Associate of Applied Science in Police Science Technology at Nashville Sate and I was wonder if anyone knew of anymore criteria that would make me a more attractive employee to the Police Department

  1. Wow an associates degree..lol I'm sure that will impress them...How about a PHD because like they're always referred to as scientists and I've never heard of a scientist with an associates degree from the community college...


  2. If you are looking for a commissioned position as a crime scene technician, that would work.  If you are looking for a civilian position as a forensic examiner, then you need at least a BS in one of the science fields.
