What does it take to be a marine bioligist or zoologist?

Well i lov animals and i practically think that animal are much better than people. Their love forever :) so i thought this will be the perfect job for me because i also have lov for the ocean and dream of someday when im older actually taking a ocean cruise but im sure it costs a lot but im only 13.
