  1. Linebackers play a critical role in high school and beyond. Depending on what linebacker position you play (Strong side, Weak side, or Middle), you must show leadership skills and play as a natural hitter.

As a linebacker you MUST love contact and be able to get up after a play and reorganize the team on defense. You will also be going up against some of the best running backs and offensive linemen and you will need to have good instincts and be an overall smart player.

  2. Linebacker second most important role in defense.

Things you will need to be a successful linebacker at your school.

Speed - At least a 5.00 - 5.65 Forty time would be good.

Strenght - A bench press of at least 110-150 lbs would be good.

(That would be good in Junior Varsity.)

Also good attitude, great work ethnic, and always try to be on time .

(That will make the coach happy.)
