What does it take to be an ameteur motocrosser?

i was just wondering I have a true intrest in the sport and would like to know what it would take to reach this point

all you need to do is go to AMA.com get a membership then go on the internet find the times of races for tracks near you. then show up at that track about an hour early and sign up for what ever race you want.if your just starting out i would look into C class.

Get a motocross bike and ride.

Proper riding gear.....

AMA membership

Alot of money to enter races, purchase tires, maintenance, parts, etc.....

Alot of practice......

practice, practice, practice. go to your local track as much as you can, and eventually enter a race. the more you race, the better youll be.
