What does it take to get in?

to the naval academy in annapolis. i live in maryland and visited several times. it's beautiful area and i wanna join but my mother thinks i could make it in to the academy so i wanted to know the requirements.

  1. At least a 3.5 GPA and a nomination from your Congressman or Senator. Then you wait to be appointed. High school JROTC can be helpful. Had 4 guys from my class go to the academies. One of them just made Brigadier General in the Marines (blach, marines). Just kidding. He is a very good friend and has been for over 35 years now.

    I just recently dropped my brother off to the Naval Academy, he started in June. It was a really nice place.

    I don't know much about the requirements at all, but from what I learned from my brother is a lot of motivation and lots of hard work, it really pays off in the end. It really does.

    He was NAPS in Rhode island before he went to the naval academy in maryland , but he said that you have to make sure

    you're commited. That is the key.
