What does it take to get into west point college?

what does it take to get into west point college. i am 14 years old and i want to learn early what it takes physically, academically, and what kind of mindset i need to get into that school.

You need really good grades and AWESOME extracurriculars. Join clubs at your school (in a leadership role if possible), play sports, volunteer with local community and youth organizations.

Write out your top ten and research them.

You are 14 and reaching for the stars, that is great. Don't forget among those stars is a God who wants to help you reach those goals honey.

I think you mean the United States Military Academy at West Point, right?

You can't just apply to West Point, you have to be appointed. So you need to assemble a set of qualifications that will impress your Congressman - then he will appoint you and you are golden. That would be 1) excellent marks, but not quite as competitive as the top private schools; 2) excellent athletics - you must be in perfect health to attend, with no medical problems or handicaps;  3) no criminal record of any kind;  4) lots of service... things that show that you are patriotic, high-minded and of high moral character. You need a great reference from your priest or minister or rabbi, Probably it wouldnt hurt if you had been in Boy Scouts and earned an Eagle rank.

West Point is not for everyone, but if you are determined on a military career, then this is a good choice for you.
