  1. Well you haven't really told us your skill level and position, so all I can say is practice your niche. The coach isn't looking for a player who can do everything average, but a player who could maybe shoot very good but the player wouldn't be able to block shots or rebound. So make your niche stand out, whatever position you play, be the best at what you're best at. The other thing is defence, play a lot of defence at the tryouts, don't worry to much about offence just DEFENCE! always box out, and talk to your teammates. In tryouts never get mad or give bullsh*t attitude to anyone, always keep a good attitude. Thats pretty much it, it all depends on your skill level and how well you play with a team. Good luck, remember DEFENCE

  2. "if your not a stand out player and you want the coach to notice you in tryouts dive for loose balls or take a charge. im positive that the coach will find out your name." This is what Hall of Fame Coach Morgan Wooten told me a couple of years ago

  3. Skills

  4. I am a senior in highschool and have been a starter all my years playing..and I help with younger new comers like freshmen, and what coachs well my coach anyone looks for and stands out to him, is HUSTLE not giving up when gettin blown buy or hustlin to that loose ball, its not all bout scoring DEFENSE is actually what wins games, remember that! haha..so if you can shoot, and play defense, hustle, and dribble you should be set!..its not just a physical game its mental to, so make sure you never let your head get the best of you..NEVER GIVE UP:)

goodluck and i hope i helped!!
