  1. I play drums and you do need lots of patience because drums can be very frustrating if you cant play something right away. Many times I am the last person in my band to learn a song and that takes lots of patience. Hope I helped

    PLAY DRUMS!

  2. i play the drums and i dont mean to be big headed, but i frickin rock.

some people pick them up naturally. these are the only people that will ever sound "good". people who really have to work hard to play drums will always sound really rigid or forced.

  3. i play the drums and i think it helps to have coordination. I don't know about patience but anyone can play the drums but the challenge is to sound good

  4. I have always said that musicians are taught and drummers are born. Natural talent helps in anything, but almost anyone can learn to play guitar or piano if they practice enough. Drums are a different story. Your brain almost has to be wired a certain way to have the independence of limbs needed to play drums at a high level. Many consider drums to be easy because anyone can sit behind them and make some noise. In fact it takes twice as long in general to reach the same level on drums compared to guitar or piano. The best thing to do is get a cheap kit and take some lessons. You will never be a good drummer if you are completely self taught. Even a year of lessons would be great to learn the basic rudiments and to read. You MUST know how to read, period. So just give it a try and see how it goes. You will know after 6 months of lessons if you can do it or not.
