I am extremly girly and i wanted to have a cool science fair project in the format of:

"the effect of... on... "

i dont want to do anything like nail polish quality or how much electric you can generate from brushing your hair. HELP. I have only 2 months.

something with sharpies seems cool... but i want the main idea to be about the color of th sharpie, not brand. Sharpie, or Girly ideas are both good...

  1. You could do the effect of girly colored wax paper on the growth of plants, or something really girly, the cute little duckweed plants. All you need is some cups with water and nutrients in it, some duckweed plants (easy to get from a nursery or garden supply store) and some girly colored wax paper to cover the cups.

There is an optimum color, or wavelength of light, at which the duckweed absorbs light energy. You just need to count the number of duckweed over the course of a week or so and see which color causes the duckweed to grow the fastest. Make sure you poke them some small holes so they don't suffocate.

  2. What if you did something like chromatography? Using coffee filter and markers, you can observe how far up the filter each color can go.

  3. ah, the exploration of science has reached a new low. JK, lol

You seem pretty girly, dont think you'll have a problem. girly, hmm, not much thought on this question? what colors would one associate with girly? girly colors, perhaps? lol. common, pink and purple....eh, i'm sorry but i like science to be science.....or rather, one finds that the quality of a experiment tends to be of a higher level if the correct standards are used...

    lol
