I am looking into starting a community center in my area. I have a BSBA in accounting and marketing and right now I am working on a master's in early childhood education. I just need to know how to start a community center in terms of funding, permits, etc.

  1. You will need to bring it to your City Council for an approval first. Then businesses and private donors in the community need to get solicited.

The attached link may be able to give you some basic ideas on where to go from there. Although it is to start a tech center, I am sure that other types of activity for kids can be added.

    Good Luck to you !
