  1. tiz very important..all you need is a 4bank set of  vacuum gauges....link bellow...

  2. You need carb flow meter.  See this:

They used to have old tube and mercury type.  But I think they phased out the mercury version because mercury is bad for the environment.

If your carbs are not synced, one or more carb could run lean and that will destroy the engine (too hot and/or engine knocking).

    Good luck...

  3. The mercury balance stick is your best bet they still sell them there is a pro model and a cheaper one. The Vacuum gages sold on Ebay are a good bet and J.C. Whitney used to sell them. The gage like the first guy shows are all right but they do not fit into some bike carbs. You more than likely have 28mm or around that size carbs.

  4. I've always been partial to mercury tubes but good luck finding them. the matched gauge set is your best alternative as you can watch all 4 carbs simultaneously.  I've used single flow meters and found them nearly useless on 4-carb engines though they are okay for twin carbs like Weber setups on Italians and Porsche.  They are usually too bulky to use on a bike.  An out-of-sync carb does NOT mean a LEAN carb, it means that the throttle angle is not SYNCHRONIZED.

  5. you need a set of gauges I have the murcury gauges with threaded adapters for for various carbs. Once you have the gauges and they are connected to your carbs you will also need a long angled s***w driver to reach the synchronizing s***w whuch is allways located in the center of the bank of carbs. Bike should be fully warmed up and running now simply turn the sybchronizing s***w untill all gauges rise and fall in unison. If you have the murcury gauges dont hit the throttle to hard as you will suck murcury into the engine.

  6. It's pretty hard to find mercury carb sticks any more. The homemade gauges aren't so good because they aren't calibrated to each other. Something like

    is best.
