What does jaw surgery do to your facial looks and does the surgery hurt?

hello i am 15 i have braces and an overbite. but the dentist says that i might need jaw surgery to corect the overbite. i want to know what it does to your facial looks and if you can feel the surgery or if it leaves and marks.

With modern technology it will make you look hidious.

No just kidding.  you will look the same without any noticble difference if the overbite wasnt that bad.  if it was like so noticble then you will notice a difference but will look alot better short and long term.
