  1. If your objective is to train for fitness efficiently with limited time, jump roping is a good answer for you.


  2. jumping rope is mostly cardio, meaning it works your heart.  it also works your arms a bit and your legs a bit.  However, if you are a runner, it is not a substitute for running.  it doesn't provide the same workout for your legs, and i'm not sure that it has the same cardiovascular workout either.

  4. skipping rope is a cardio workout. Yes you could to that instead of running. It's works your legs a lot.
