What does lightning look like?

Need to have describing words for what lighning looks like for a project at school. If you could help that would be great.

Well there is cloud-to-ground lightning which we see so often. They appear as a single bolt downwards from the clouds. There's also cloud-to-cloud lightning where lightning jumps from cloud to cloud, hence the name. And we have all sorts of other types of lightning. Refer to link for more.

Lightning creates a little bit 'scary' mood in mind, and it is really 'bright', it sounds makes heart a bit up & down. At least I would never like to be out of my home during lightning.

Its a big bolt of light caused by when the ground it + and -  and the clouds - then with the clouds it  charges and boom light.
